Charlton Athletic vs Norwich City PREVIEW

Last updated : 17 April 2010 By Matt Fricker

Charlton face league leaders Norwich in the penultimate home game of the season.

When the two sides met in September, Charlton should have won the fixture, but thanks to some poor finishing and equally poor defending, the Canaries were able to force a draw.

Deon Burton could be fit to face the Canaries, if Deon is fit, I would imagine Parkinson playing a 4 – 4 – 2 with Deon sharing the front line with Nicky Forster.

That said, David Mooney spent last season on loan at Norwich and has been very impressive in his last few appearances.

Another player who could return to the Charlton team is Rob Elliott, who is apparently also fit after injury; however, with Darren Randolph performing excellently over the past few games, we have a situation which for the first time in a while will really leave Parky with a selection headache.

In Norwich team news Grant Holt is suspended and Wes Hoolahan is doubtful.

Norwich have won once in their last 4 and, by all rights should be feeling the pressure for today’s game, as if they are unable to start winning again, they could also find themselves fighting for an automatic place.

That said, if we win today, we’ll be 6 points off top with 3 games to go, and one of those games will be against Leeds at home.

My Prediction for the starting line up is:

GK: Darren Randolph

RB: Frazer Richardson

CB: Sam Sodje

CB: Christian Dailly

LB: Gary Borrowdale

RM: Lloyd Sam

CM: Jose Semedo

CM: Nicky Bailey ©

LM: Kyle Reid

 CF: Deon Burton

CF: Nicky Forster

Subs: Rob Elliott, Chris Solly, Miguel Llera, Jonjo Shelvey, Scott Wagstaff, Akpo Sodje, David Mooney

Come on you Addicks!!
