Only a few weeks after the Addicks faced off against the Daggers in the JPT, the two sides meet in their first League One fixture in the first of two home games this week.
Today’s visitors currently sit bottom of the league with 5 points from 7 matches. But as we all know, in football, league position has nothing to do with how a team will perform on the day.
Phil Parkinson will be hoping his players can bounce back from recent disappointing away performances which have seen the Addicks only win away once this season.
The home form has been more impressive though, with the Addicks currently undefeated at the Valley this season.
In terms of team news, Luke Daniels will be pushing Ross Worner for the number one shirt as Rob Elliot is still injured.
Pawel Abbot is also a doubt as he continues to struggle with a calf injury, however there are no other new injuries for Charlton players that I’m aware of.
With this in mind, my prediction for today’s team is:
GK: Ross Worner
LB: Johnnie Jackson
CB: Gary Doherty
CB: Matt Fry
RB: Simon Francis
LM: Kyel Reid
CM: Jose Semedo ©
CM: Therry Racon
RM: Scott Wagstaff
CF: Paul Benson
CF: Joe Anyinsah
Subs: Luke Daniels, Miguel Llera, Jonathan Fortune, Alan McCormack, Lee Martin, Pawel Abbott, Akpo Sodje
Come on you Addicks!!!!
