Charlton Athletic vs Colchester United PREVIEW

Last updated : 13 April 2010 By Matt Fricker

Following a bitter disappointment on Saturday afternoon thanks to an undeserved defeat against Southampton, Charlton go into tonight’s fixture needing 3 points to really keep the pressure for 2nd place on.

The visitors are equally in need of 3 points however; as Colchester’s recent form of 1 win in the last 6 has seen them drop out of the play off places.

This should mean that tonight The Valley will see a very attacking game with the Addicks looking to exact revenge for the drubbing they took at the Weston Homes Community Stadium earlier in the season.

Addicks fans will be willing the home side on will all their might tonight with the added knowledge that a win tonight, followed by another victory on Saturday against Norwich will gift Charlton with 80 points and two invaluable victories against other promotion candidates.

With this in mind, I think Phil Parkinson will name a side of:

GK: Darren Randolph

LB: Gary Borrowdale

CB: Christian Dailly

CB: Sam Sodje

RB: Frazer Richardson

LM: Kyel Reid

CM: Jose Semedo

CM: Therry Racon

RM: Nicky Bailey ©

CF: Jonjo Shelvey

CF: Nicky Forster

Subs: Tony Warner, Miguel Llera, Chris Solly, Matt Spring, Scott Wagstaff, Akpo Sodje, David Mooney

Come on you Addicks!!
