Man of the Match: Charlton 4 Rochdale 1

Bryan Hughes

Alan Curbishley used this game to give players like Jeffers, Euell, Johansson and Hughes a chance to stake a claim for the first team. And Bryan Hughes certainly took his opportunity.

Hughes has been very unlucky not to break it into the Charlton midfield but after his performance against Rochdale, I would replace Kishishev with Hughes.

During the game he always made a run into the box and scored twice because of it and was very unlcuky not to get a hat trick. It will be interesting to see if Curbs picks him against his former club Birmingham next week.
