Man of the Match: Dennis Rommendahl

Once again it was a very difficult choice because everyone performed so badly, but Dennis Rommendahl did stand out for me. He was very effective in the first half making plenty of runs at the Southampton defence but was unable to create any real chances.

He was alittle quieter in the second half but was still the only real threat Charlton had until Curbishley took him off - which to me was a bad idea and killed any chance of us winning the game.

Out of everyone he was the best player for me. Lets hope we perform better on saturday against Birmingham - otherwise I can see another thrashing.
